Acrylic Nails - The New Craze In Town

A new craze that’s catching up with the female population everywhere is acrylic nails. These are artificial nails that are just pasted onto the natural ones with the mixture of a special chemical gel and a powder. Acrylic nails are usually used by girls who have damaged, chipped, or short nails that they want to disguise. Other girls simply don’t want to undergo the maintenance of natural nails, and hence get acrylic nails attached so that they achieve an alluring look for their hands, plus they don’t have to bother about their care as well.

Acrylic nails are also considered to be a good option for those who have the habit of biting their nails ever so often. This is because these nails are quite hard and thus difficult to bite off. They are made up of quite a resilient material, and hence does not chip or break easily. Acrylic nails are quite affordable too. They make the nails appear nice and long, and are ideal to be flaunted at parties and weddings. But these days, college going girls and young women sport them on a daily basis.

Embellishments like small trinkets and sequins look great when embedded into acrylic nails. Tiny beads and semi precious stones and pearls can also be fitted into them, as the look gets accentuated further. Some people even opt for getting pierced on their acrylic nails as they are quite strong, and won’t break under the pressure.

The care and maintenance of these nails is not too cumbersome. Just that they need to be kept away from water as far as possible, because if the water seeps through, there is a possibility of a nail infection. Also, should the water manage to get in between the natural and the acrylic nail, the growth of bacteria and fungus is a big risk. But it is just a small price to pay for getting the look that only acrylic nails can give.
